Welcome to Griffith Buslines
Griffith Buslines operates an extensive passenger and school bus service in the agricultural city of Griffith. It also provides services to surrounding districts, including links to Darling Point and Yenda.
The service commenced operations on 1 October 2006 with the purchase of Ritchies Bus Service. The Ritchie family established this very successful business in 1937 and played a vital role in public transport development in the region.
The district's growth has its roots in the early 1900's after the New South Wales Government legislated for the establishment of irrigation in the area. The influx of many Italian migrants in the early days was the start of what is widely recognised as one of Australia's most successful multicultural communities.
Today, the three predominant crops are citrus, rice and grapes. Agricultural production has led to the establishment of secondary and service industries, making decentralisation in Griffith a working reality.
